Fosters Save Lives

WERblogpicHave some time to spare? A special place in your heart for wildlife? A unique experience is waiting for you.

Wildlife baby season has begun. Wild Earth Refuge needs foster volunteers to take care of infant squirrels until they are ready to go to their release cage.

You will be supplied with everything you need. All we require is your time and affection for wildlife who have been orphaned. The more fosters we have the more we can help!

You will be trained by Kelli. An authorized Rehabilitator who specializes is squirrels.

To make this happen we need to buy formula and material for enclosures. Your donation is very important to us. Tax receipts will be issued for any donation over $20. Please visit our help save lives page to donate. There are no limits to what we can accomplish by working together.

Hit up our Wish list to see other ways you can help.

For more information please contact Kelli at 289-356-2826 and she will give you more details.

Hi Kelli.I would love to foster!!! I live in Whitby. It’s just myself and my husband . We both work. My hours are 7 to 3. Day shift. Other than work, I am always home. My cell number is 905 626 5714. Squirrels are my absolute favorite! Please contact me if I can help at all . I do not have experience with wildlife but I used to breed and raise chihuahuas.

Hi Kelli, this sounds like a wonderful program! What kind of time and space commitment is needed to foster baby squirrels? Would one family foster one squirrel, or mulitples? It’s something our family would love to do, although like Michele, we are out at work during the day. My husband and I normally come home for lunch (at various times) during the week, as we work close to home, if that helps. If you could contact me by email, or post an outline of what would be required of us, that would be great!
    Thanks for all you do!
